Terms of service, in plain English
These terms cover your use of this site and the moving services 503 Moving Labor Services performs across Wilsonville and the Portland metro. Keeping the wording plain and readable was a deliberate call. Request a quote from us or book a move, and these are the terms you agree to.
The flat rate, in writing
Every binding estimate goes out printed on paper, signed by either Nadia or me. The number on that estimate is the number you pay — the only things that move it are extra inventory, an added stop, or a date change after the truck is booked, and each of those gets re-quoted in writing before any new work begins. No creeping hourly charges, no surprise fees.
Calling off or moving the date
- 72 hours or more ahead of the date — your deposit comes back in full.
- 24 to 72 hours — we hold the deposit as a credit good toward any booking over the next 12 months.
- Inside 24 hours — deposit forfeited, since we turned away other jobs to hold your slot.
Liability and cargo coverage
Released-value coverage at $0.60 per pound per article is included on every job at no charge. Full-value protection is available on request, and we can write up to $1,000,000 in cargo coverage per shipment for high-value loads — ask in advance. Claims carry a nine-month filing window.
Items we don’t move
By federal rule and common sense, we don’t transport loaded firearms, propane tanks, gasoline, fireworks, perishable food, live plants on interstate runs, or cash and jewelry. Pack those separately and carry them yourself.
Getting the truck in
At both ends it’s on you to make sure the truck can reach the door — or to warn us ahead when it can’t, so we can line up a shuttle or a hand-carry. We plan around Pacific Northwest rain at no charge. Permit parking on downtown Portland or Oregon City historic-district blocks is your responsibility unless we agree otherwise in writing.
