Full-service packing across the valley

Packing is hardly an unusual ask here — roughly a third of my customers request it. A downtown professional with a five-day window can’t box a kitchen. A household near Dundee unloading a place full of fine art has no intention of gambling on the canvases. A retiree sitting on decades of workshop gear simply doesn’t want to tackle it solo.

We haul in the whole kit ourselves: wardrobe boxes, rolls of packing paper, tape, bubble wrap, and double-wall dish-pack cartons fitted with stemware dividers. The day before, Nadia or the crew chief walks the place and decides what we box and what you keep out. Come morning, a packing team arrives with the movers right behind.

Packing flat-rate examples

Pack scope Crew Typical flat rate
Kitchen and bathrooms only 2 packers $440 – $680
Whole 1-bed apartment 2 packers $680 – $980
Whole 2–3 bed home 2–3 packers $1,180 – $1,780
Whole 4-bed home 3 packers $1,900 – $2,750
Art, glass and specialty crating add-on 3 packers $2,200 – $3,150

Prefer hourly? Two packers run $145/hr, three run $195/hr — but most people sign the flat number. Cargo coverage up to $1,000,000 per shipment, $0.60/lb released-value standard, nine-month claim window under our Oregon authority.

How we crate, label and log it

Each carton is marked with its room and contents — kitchen-A, primary-closet, garage-tools. Original art, framed prints, wine-country glassware and china get individually wrapped and crated. Pianos and safes ride a specialty rider. Whole-house packing makes the most sense on a long-distance move.

Everything folded into your Wilsonville, OR flat rate

  • Double-wall dish-pack cartons, wardrobe boxes and stemware dividers brought to your door
  • Acid-free paper and bubble for fragiles, framed art and antiques
  • Room-by-room labeling and a written inventory sheet you keep
  • Custom crating for original art, mirrors, glassware and glass-top tables
  • Partial or whole-house packing, day-before or morning-of
  • Unpack option at the new home on the same flat-rate basis

So what will it run you?

Two uniformed movers plus the truck run $145/hr on the clock, or lock the meter shut with a signed Portland-metro flat figure that puts the entire move on one page

Pads, dollies, shrink-wrap and the careful hand-carries a Sherwood bungalow or a Lake Oswego hillside staircase demand are already in the rate, and so is any Certificate of Insurance a downtown Portland high-rise or a West Linn HOA needs on file. Need a third mover added? That moves the hourly to $195/hr.

“Dylan and Owen were great through the entire process. They showed up on time, wrapped and taped all of the furniture that was moved, and put everything in our new place where we asked. They did not cause any damage to the walls or any of our property and were professional the entire time.”

“We had a very good experience with 503 Moving Labor Services. We paid what we were quoted, they arrived on time, the two guys worked hard and nothing was damaged. We did have a somewhat easy move, no stairs, no furniture assembly. We are very happy with our experience. Dylan & Owen were very courteous and did a great job.”

Questions we field on this service

How far before the move do you pack?
For a whole-house pack it is typically the day before; for a partial, the morning of. On a 3-bed, clearing the closets and the kitchen a day early tends to work best.
Can I box the simple things and let you handle the kitchen?
All the time. Partial packs get a flat rate as well — a kitchen-only job on a 3-bed usually runs $440 to $680.
Will you pack an art or wine collection?
Definitely — the stemware dividers, acid-free wrapping, and made-to-fit crates exist precisely for this. Handling delicate collections is everyday work around here.
Will you take the empty boxes away when we're done?
If the unpack add-on is on your booking, then yes — we flatten the cardboard and carry it out. Skip it, and those flattened boxes stay piled in the garage for you.

A note from Brett

I launched 503 Moving Labor Services in 2016 on a single rule I have never bent: the price we put in writing is the price you pay — no curbside add-ons, not ever. Every job goes out on our own equipment with a crew I hired and trained by hand.

Whether it is a one-bedroom apartment in downtown Wilsonville or a full house heading across the Willamette Valley, you get the same crew and the same written flat rate every time. That consistency is what keeps Portland-metro families passing our name along to their neighbors.
