One rule since 2016
I’m Brett Sorensen, and I run 503 Moving Labor Services. We opened in 2016 on a single promise that still holds: the flat price goes in writing before the truck rolls — no hour-creep after a Lake Oswego stair-carry, no surprise fee because a farm driveway out in the county turns to gravel.
I grew up in the Willamette Valley just off the I-5 corridor and spent years running warehouse and freight crews around the Portland metro. Too often I watched out-of-area outfits float a low phone number, then run it up once everything was strapped in. The crew I put together works the exact opposite way.
How the 503 crew shows up
- About 15 uniformed movers — every one W-2, background-checked, in a company shirt.
- Our own trucks, padded and loaded out nightly at our Wilsonville yard off SW Parkway.
- Same faces at both ends on local Portland-metro jobs — no handoff to a stranger.
- Fully authorized — we carry Oregon household-goods moving authority, and our own US DOT and MC numbers for interstate work.
The metro we actually move
We carry Pearl District lofts in downtown Portland, hillside homes in Lake Oswego and West Linn, historic places on the Oregon City bluff, and the newer subdivisions around Wilsonville’s Charbonneau and Villebois. Pacific Northwest rain is the constant — we tarp, pad, and lay floor protection most of the year.

- Nadia Brooks runs the office — your quote, your certificate of insurance, your Oregon paperwork.
- Wes Tanaka dispatches, building the daily truck board across the Portland metro.
- Dylan Pruitt is my lead crew chief — pianos, safes, and Lake Oswego hillside carries.
- Owen Vasquez leads our long-haul runs down I-5 and out I-84.
- Grant Halloran handles downtown Portland lofts and apartment moves.
What you’ll pay
Close to home the rate runs $145 an hour covering two movers plus a truck, or $195 with a third mover — the truck padding, dollies, shrink-wrap, and drive time are all built in, on a one-hour minimum. Once you cross a state line, that becomes a binding flat figure, set on paper and signed before we lift a single box.
